”My name is Wil, I am 23 and I run a successful plumbing business in North Brisbane. I have been in business for 2 years however I have been plumbing close to a decade. My fiancé and I run our small plumbing business in Caboolture where we service all of North Brisbane as a reliable, professional and trusted emergency plumber.

My introduction to plumbing started from when I was just a little boy. My pop ran a very successful plumbing business in Ayr, North QLD. From the moment that I could walk I would always be out in the shed helping or more so annoying him whilst he gets ready for his next job. As I grew, more and more I would help and be involved with helping my pop. School holidays consisted of me working and earning some pocket money that I blew at the local tackle shop. 

As soon as I hit grade 10 I knew that school wasn't for me. My pop took me on full time and put me through my apprenticeship. Not only did those next few years teach me how to plumb, but working along side the best plumber that I knew, it taught me how to be a great tradesman with morals, standards and professionalism. All these values that I now implement into my business and workers today.

Sadly, my pop passed away 2 years ago when he was electrocuted on site whilst cutting through an old galvanised pipe. In his honour I started my business to continue his legacy and keep everything that he taught me alive. Everyday I think of him and I know that each job that I attend to, he is watching and guiding me. I know that each challenge that I face it is him, testing me and making me into a better plumber.

Because of him, I love my job, I love my business and I love to plumb. He is the reason I am where I am today. My drive and passion to plumb stems from him. 

I am a proud plumber and on World Plumbing Day I not only give recognition to all the plumbers still here, but to all the great plumbers that are no longer with us.”
